We’re here to help you on your journey to wellness.Maramataka waananga is a six-week programme that teaches whaanau to understand the many phases of the moon and their connection to personal wellbeing. By learning how our ancestors viewed time and worked in harmony with their environment, participants become self-navigators, managing emotions, moods, kai, and relationships. This knowledge helps to recognise and align internal changes with the external environment, thereby reducing risk factors that contribute to suicidal ideation. This waananga empowers whaanau to become self-navigators by integrating traditional Maaori knowledge of the maramataka (Maaori lunar calendar) into daily life.

The Maramataka waananga is open to whaanau interested in traditional Maaori knowledge and practices, individuals aiming to enhance their emotional and mental wellbeing, and anyone looking to manage their relationships and lifestyle holistically.

This movement and meditation workshop is a collaboration of traditional Maaori healing modalities weaved together to create a space that awakens an awareness to your holistic being.
Sessions will consist of Mahi Raakau (staff) , Mahi Tinana (body movement) , Mahi Haa (breath) and a short clearing/re-generising meditation facilitated by romiromi practitioner Piripi Morunga.
Ngaakau Oho is open to all who would like to attend and will run for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour live on Zoom at 6am Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you can't make the live Zoom, you can watch the recordings on YouTube.
You will need a quiet space, a mat, cushion or seat, water and two Rakau: One Rakau with length from the ground to your chin and a short Rakau with length from the tip of your finger to your shoulder.
This workshop will help to facilitate more positive experiences that range from healthier ways to approach daily tasks, to shifting trauma that can block energy in the body thus affecting Hinengaro, Tinana and Wairua.
Participating will foster wellbeing that is attentive to individual and collective experiences of Wairua, Hinengaro, Tinana and Whaanau.

This beginner programme provides a structured pathway into Maaori meditation, offering free and accessible resources to help individuals harness the power of stillness and achieve a balanced state of being through the principles of OROKOROA.

Te Ara Tika offers a culturally enriching and supportive environment - through combining traditional Maaori crafts and knowledge with modern cessation practices, this programme provides a holistic and effective pathway to better hauora.

This free 10 week programme is open to all genders across all ages. It is ideal for individuals seeking a culturally grounded approach to quitting smoking and those interested in learning about traditional Maaori crafts and knowledge.
